About

About AliusArt:

After more than 20 years of experience in social care management, inclusive project development, teaching professional practitioners and direct involvement in the inclusive arts, theater and music Jonas Hellbrandt decided to establish AliusArt.

This initiative was impelled by having experienced again and again how limited the access to bespoke (and applicable) coaching and training is for professional development for practitioners, teachers, facilitators, complimentary therapists and volunteers engaged in creative therapeutic practice around the world.

About Jonas:

After working in social care in Denmark, Ireland, Holland and Switzerland, I settled in Scotland and gained a degree in Arts of Curative Education and Social Therapy from the University of Aberdeen. Subsequently, I contrived and set up an Arts & Crafts Studio in the Newton Dee Community on the outskirts of Aberdeen – the first inclusive workshop of its kind – enabling people with additional support needs and neuro divergent conditions to express themselves through a variety of arts and crafts while identifying their own therapeutic needs. After 6 years I handed the workshop over and moved into a social care management position. I held several directorships in third sector charities and gained a post-graduate degree in leadership and management. During my 10+ years in social care management I also developed a vocational day service programme for adults with additional support needs and was part of several teams initiating, designing and planning the development of inclusive art, craft, theater and performance centres/studio spaces.

Throughout my career I have continuously been involved in initiating, arranging and project managing creative conferences, artist and artisan workshops, outsider art exhibitions and inclusive music performances.

In the summer of 2023, after 21 years abroad, I moved back to Denmark with my family. We now have the pleasure of living in the fairytale town of Odense where I work as a Development Coach, Pedagogical, Andragogical and Therapeutic Educator and audio designer/composer.

Alongside the roles mentioned above, I continue to give lectures, teach seminars and workshops for university students, special needs teachers, medical students, health and social care staff, international charity volunteers, social pedagogical and therapeutic practitioners.

Thanks for stopping by,

Jonas
